Charges: Most jobs are for done for a fixed price after a no obligation quote see some sample labour charges near the end of the page.

If however a time slot is preferred, labour rates are: £25 for the first 30 minutes then £6 per 15 minutes. For example -

• £25 for up to 30 minutes.
• £31 for up to 45 minutes.
• £37 for up to 1 hour.
• £49 for up to 1 hour 30 minutes.
• £61 for up to 2 hours.

Spare parts are at cost price, rounded up to the nearest whole pound.

I keep the most common items in stock. Out of stock parts are usually supplied from:-

Payment: by cash or cheque please.

Sample Labour Charges:

• £15 - Delivered to workshop. To fit most internal PCI/AGP/PCI Express cards. Note some hardware with lots of bundled software may cost more.
• £15 - Delivered to workshop. To replace a PC's internal power supply unit.
• £25 - Site or home visit. To replace a PC's internal power supply unit.
• £25 - Site or home visit. To fit DVD/CD player/burner, 2nd or 3rd Hard Disk or extra memory (RAM).
• £25 - Site or home visit. To fit any of the following internal expansion cards: Network, Audio, Video, USB hubs, Digital TV/Radio, Wireless. modem and more ...
• £37 - Site or home visit. Re-load the Operating System including hardware device drivers. More if anti virus, firewalls, critical software patches needed - this type of job is best done (ie much cheaper) in the workshop.

Labour charges for items delivered to me can be as low as £15 for some types of hardware problems or software problems. If yuur computer is running slowly I can do other work while finding the problem.

Hardware costs (where applicable) are not included in the above prices.

Free visits and no obligations quote for home or business sites in or near to Ashton, Bristol (BS3) - within 5 miles. There is no charge if you decide not to have the job done.

Bristol: Ashton, Ashton Gate, Ashton Vale, Bedminster, Bedminster Down, Bishopsworth, Bower Ashton, Hartcliffe, Hotwells, Knowle, Southville, Stoke Bishop and Totterdown.

Normal working hours:

Home or site visits can be arranged on -

• Weekdays April to October: 9:00am to 8:00pm.
• Weekdays November to March: 9:00am to 5:00pm.
• Saturday and Sunday mornings: 9:00am to 1:00pm.

Visits can be arranged outside of these hours but may be subject to an extra charge.

Deliveries of problem PC's or laptops are welcome but visitors must arrange the delivery in advance.

Delivery and pickup times are more flexible than the working hours above with free quote for delivered items.

Workshop Jobs: Many jobs that involve long winded tasks that do not require frequent attention can be done much cheaper in the workshop.

You avoid paying for travel time and time waiting for the anti virus/spyware scan, formatting disks, operating system re-load and more. For this type of job, charges are always less than for repairs/faults fixed during a home or site visit.
