Charges: Most computer repair jobs are for done for a fixed price after a no obligation quote see some sample labour charges near the end of the page.

If however a time slot is preferred, labour rates are: £25 for the first 30 minutes then £6 per 15 minutes. For example -

£25 for up to 30 minutes.
£31 for up to 45 minutes.
£37 for up to 1 hour.
I will give discounts on these rates for jobs longer than 1½ hours.

Spare parts are at cost price, rounded up to the nearest whole pound.

£15 - Delivered to workshop. To fit most internal PCI Express/PCI/AGP/PCI Express cards. Note some hardware with lots of bundled software may cost more.
£15 - Delivered to workshop. To replace a PC's internal power supply unit.
£25 - Business or home call. To replace a PC's internal power supply unit.
£25 - Business or home call. To fit DVD/CD player/burner, 2nd or 3rd Hard Disk or extra memory (RAM).
£25 - Business or home call. To fit any of the following internal expansion cards: Network, Audio, Video, USB hubs, Digital TV/Radio, Wireless. modem and more ...
£37 - Business or home visit. Re-load the Operating System including hardware device drivers. More if anti virus, firewalls, critical software patches are requested - this type of job is best done (ie is much cheaper) in the workshop.

VAT:

As my turnover is below the VAT registration threshold, I am not VAT registered. That means all prices shown on this page are the prices you pay there is no extra VAT on top.

Discounts: Site or home visits charges are reduced by at least £5 if the PC or laptop is delivered to me.

Labour for items delivered to me can be as low as £15 for some types of hardware problems or software problems. If your computer is running slowly I can do other work while finding the problem.

Hardware costs (where applicable) are not included in the above prices.

Free visits and no obligations quote for home or business repairs in or near to Ashton, Bristol (BS3) - within 5 miles. There is no charge if you decide not to have the job done.

Normal working hours:

Home or site computer repairs can be arranged on -

Week days: 9:00am to 5:00pm.
Saturday and Sunday mornings: 9:00am to 1:00pm.

Calls can be arranged outside of these hours but may be subject to an extra charge.

Deliveries of problem PC's or laptops are welcome but visitors must arrange the delivery in advance.

Delivery and pickup times are more flexible than the working hours above with a free quote for delivered items.

Workshop Repairs: Many jobs that involve lengthy tasks that do not require frequent attention can be done much cheaper in the workshop.

You avoid paying for travel time and time waiting for the anti virus/spyware scan, formatting disks, operating system re-load and more. For this type of task, charges are always less than for repairs or faults fixed during a visit.
